Meeting with representatives of Visa international payment system

A meeting was held at the Central Bank with members of the delegation headed by Christina Dorosh, vice president and regional manager of the Visa international payment system.

During the meeting, the works carried out within the framework of cooperation with the Visa company were discussed. In particular, the parties exchanged views on the current state of the infrastructure of payment systems in Uzbekistan, issues of ensuring cyber security in the country and improving the financial literacy of the population.

During the dialogue, the issues of ensuring the compatibility of the legal framework with international legal norms, which are obstacles to the entry of international payment companies into the market of Uzbekistan, were also touched upon.
