The main tasks of the department:
· conducting scientific and practical research on topical issues related to the activities of the Central Bank;
· implementation of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting in order to prepare proposals for the development and implementation of monetary policy;
· formation, maintenance and dissemination of monetary and financial statistics;
The main functions of the department:
· conducting macro and microeconomic research on topical issues related to the activities of the Central Bank;
· study of processes and trends in the world economy, including the main countries-foreign trade partners, as well as analysis and forecast of the impact of these processes on the domestic economy;
· conducting surveys on enterprises in the real sector and the population to study the current state and trends in the economy;
· improving the formation and practice of disseminating monetary and financial statistics in the Republic of Uzbekistan based on the study of international experience and requirements.
