The Central Bank hosted a meeting with the international payment system Mastercard within the framework of the research conducted on the basis of a joint memorandum. During the meeting, Denis Filippov, head of the Mastercard representative office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, was introduced.
The prospects of the company's development in our country and the preliminary results of the ongoing joint research project were discussed at the meeting.
At the first stage of this research, a road map project was developed to eliminate the factors that prevent the increase in the share of cashless payments in the country. At the meeting, the parties also agreed on organizational issues related to the implementation of this document.
