A meeting was held at the Central Bank with Jonathan Henick, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Uzbekistan.
J. Henick emphasized the importance of independent and strong central banks for economic development in a free market economy.
The guests were provided with detailed information regarding the work done in recent years on compliance control, prevention of sanctions risks and financial monitoring. The role of the Central Bank in the ongoing economic reforms and the goals set for it were also touched upon.
The US Ambassador noted his support for economic development reforms and ongoing work, and also expressed the readiness of the US Embassy to assist in this direction.
