A delegation led by the head of the International Monetary Fund's mission in Uzbekistan Ron van Roden visited the Central Bank and met with the executives of the bank.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current macroeconomic situation in the country, measures taken to develop the banking and financial system, as well as the monetary policy of the Central Bank.
The topics discussed in the meeting were the macroeconomic forecasts of the Central Bank for the next year, as well as possible challenges and risks at the global level. The head of the IMF mission described the discussion with the representatives of the Central Bank constructive and fruitful.
According to him, despite the pandemic, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in ensuring macroeconomic stability.
