Within the framework of the “Bilateral Assistance and Capacity Building Program for Central Banks” (BCC programme) of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), a research project was conducted on the topic “Forecasting Banking System Liquidity Using Payment System Data in Uzbekistan.” The study examined the potential of various econometric and machine learning models—specifically Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and neural network-based models—for forecasting time series related to autonomous factors influencing banking system liquidity. The scientific paper based on the research findings is available at the following link.
