As part of their professional development, specialists from the Central Bank actively participated in the public session of the Annual general meeting of the international financial consumer protection organization — FinCoNet, held on November 26–28, 2025, in Dublin, Ireland.
The event brought together leading financial supervision experts and representatives of regulatory authorities from various countries. The main goal of the meeting was to exchange experience and develop modern approaches to consumer protection amid the rapid digitalization of the financial sector.
During the public session, participants discussed key topics, including:
- the digitalization of financial services and the introduction of artificial intelligence, with a focus on transparency and security of automated solutions;
- supervision of consumer lending, including mortgages, auto loans, and personal loans;
- new approaches to market conduct oversight and innovations in enforcement practices;
- support for customers facing financial difficulties;
- regulation and consumer protection in the rapidly expanding Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) sector.
Special attention was given to sharing practical experience among countries, reviewing new global trends, and developing recommendations aimed at ensuring fairness, transparency, and safety in financial services.
