The Central Bank Announces a Research Scholarship Program for Young Researchers
The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces a call for applications under the Research Scholarship Program for master’s and doctoral students, as well as independent researchers.
The program aims to engage young researchers in conducting scientific research on relevant topics in economics and finance, while also supporting the development of their practical knowledge and skills.
To participate in the competition, candidates must submit the following documents:
— curriculum vitae / resume;
— a research proposal of 1,500–2,500 words, clearly outlining the research questions and objectives;
— a month-by-month work plan for the activities to be carried out during the program;
— previously published academic articles, if available.
Research topics should be related to the Central Bank’s core functions, strategic goals and priority research areas, global economic, financial and technological trends, as well as current issues and emerging phenomena in the financial and economic sphere.
Successful candidates will enter into a contract for a period of 3 to 12 months, depending on the complexity of the research topic.
Winners of the competition studying at the master’s level will receive a scholarship equivalent to the monthly salary of an assistant lecturer at state higher education institutions — 7,620,142 UZS. Winners conducting research at the doctoral level will receive a scholarship equivalent to the monthly salary of a senior lecturer — 8,568,102 UZS.
In addition, researchers will be provided with the following opportunities:
— access to the Central Bank’s internal statistical data;
— presentation of research findings at Central Bank seminars and conferences;
— the opportunity to apply research conclusions in practice.
