Lead Economist, Section for Studying Prices and Economic Expectations

Responsibilities:
- Price Monitoring & Surveys: Participating in monitoring price dynamics of consumer goods and services within the "consumer basket" at selected retail and service outlets in the region. Conducting surveys among the population and business entities to determine and calculate inflationary expectations.
- Analysis of Inflationary Risks: Investigating causes for significant price fluctuations and analyzing shifts in demand and supply. Preparing urgent reports on potential inflationary risks.
- Economic Forecasting: Participating in periodic (quarterly) surveys of real sector enterprises in the region to analyze the current economic situation and forecast growth processes.
- Statistical Fieldwork: Conducting statistical surveys at border crossing points among entering citizens of Uzbekistan and departing foreign nationals.
- Analytical Reporting: Identifying monetary and non-monetary factors of inflation in the regional economy and evaluating their impact. Developing proposals to maintain low inflation levels and providing regular reports on inflationary processes.
- Education: Higher education in Banking, Finance, or Economics.
- Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the banking system.
- Certifications: Priority is given to candidates with international or national professional certificates.
- Language Skills:
- Uzbek: Native-level proficiency; ability to draft official documents in both Cyrillic and Latin scripts with zero grammatical errors.
- Russian: Intermediate (B1 level).
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law "On the Central Bank," the Law "On Banks and Banking Activities," and other banking-related decrees.
- IT Proficiency: Advanced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Soft Skills: Responsibility, teamwork, proactive attitude, and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
