On April 3 of this year, in collaboration with the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the UZCE Trading Lab training event was launched at the Republican Currency Exchange of Uzbekistan, bringing together young professionals and Central Bank scholarship recipients.
The main idea of the project is to demonstrate the internal structure of the financial market, providing participants not just with an explanation of its framework, but with the opportunity to experience the market logic in practice.
The event emphasized that the development of the financial market is directly linked to the preparation of a new generation of specialists capable of systemic thinking and operating in a rapidly changing economic environment. Particular attention has been paid to the importance of cooperation between the Central Bank and the Exchange as a platform for the professional growth of young talent.
During the theoretical part, participants were introduced to the activities of the Exchange, its role in the national economy, and its key areas of development. The principles of exchange infrastructure, terms and conditions for participation in trading, and mechanisms of market interaction were presented in detail.
The practice-oriented core of the program focused on the foreign exchange and money markets, where participants were provided by step-by-step guide through the full cycle of market operations. Exchange experts used real-life examples to explain transaction mechanisms and the logic behind trade formation, followed by a demonstration of trading platforms in action.
Participants were then presented with specific market scenarios, where they played the role of traders, making decisions and executing transactions in a real-time simulated environment. After each scenario, experts from the Central Bank and the Exchange analyzed the decisions made, providing professional insights and recommendations, enabling participants to better understand market logic and practical approaches to working with financial instruments.
The UZCE Trading Lab event played a key role in strengthening the practical knowledge and analytical skills of young professionals, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of financial market operations through simulation-based training and expert evaluation. This initial session laid the foundation for programs to be conducted regularly for students specializing in finance and economics. The initiative is aimed at developing a new generation of specialists capable of working with modern financial instruments and market infrastructure.
