The event brought together representatives of central banks and financial regulators, experts from ConsumerCentriX and IPC, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The meeting served as an open platform for exchanging practical experience on supporting women’s entrepreneurship, strengthening the collection and use of gender-disaggregated data for decision-making, and developing financial products for women entrepreneurs.
Participants also positively recognized Uzbekistan’s experience in building a national ecosystem and coordinating the National Coalition to expand financial and non-financial support for women entrepreneurs.
Following the meeting, the EBRD will design the next technical assistance programme and support the further development of regional cooperation under the We-Finance Code initiative.
For reference: Today, the We-Finance Code initiative brings together
45 countries, including 5 countries from Central Asia. Uzbekistan joined the initiative in 2024, and the Central Bank serves as the national coordinator.
