On the sidelines of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting attended by Bobur Khojayev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Central Bank Governor Timur Ishmetov, Chief Financial Inclusion Officer Dilbar Abduganiyeva, and representatives of Visa.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of digital financial services, strengthening cybersecurity, and opportunities for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas.
Visa representatives presented innovative payment solutions, including the “Tap to Phone” technology, which enables smartphones to function as payment acceptance devices, as well as digital payment services such as Apple Pay. The presentation also covered advanced cybersecurity tools aimed at fraud prevention and risk management.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue dialogue on specific areas of cooperation and the development of mutually beneficial initiatives.
