As part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, a meeting was held at the Central Bank with a delegation from Qatar’s MBK Holding.
The discussion brought together Central Bank Chairman Timur Ishmetov, Deputy Chairman Sanjar Nosirov, heads of relevant departments of the Central Bank, and a delegation led by Sheikh Mansour bin Khalifa Al Thani, Founder and Chairman of MBK Holding. The parties exchanged views on international experience and modern approaches in the fields of financial technology, digital banking, and Islamic finance.
During the meeting, participants discussed the development of innovative financial services in the banking sector, opportunities for leveraging digital solutions, the experience of Islamic finance institutions, as well as issues related to knowledge and technology exchange in these areas.
Representatives of MBK Holding provided information on the company’s initiatives aimed at advancing financial technology, digital financial services, knowledge sharing, and enhancing the professional capacity of industry specialists.
The parties underscored the importance of studying advanced international practices in the financial sector, fostering the development of the digital financial services ecosystem, and examining practical approaches to Islamic finance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants exchanged views on continuing consultations on the issues discussed and exploring existing opportunities for further cooperation.
