A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Bank of Serbia.
The Memorandum provides for the development of cooperation between the central banks of the two countries in the field of combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
In addition, the Memorandum envisages the exchange of knowledge and practical experience in the areas of fintech innovations, open banking, central bank digital currencies (CBDC), regulatory sandbox mechanisms, and risk assessment methodologies.
The Memorandum is aimed at strengthening professional and expert dialogue between the central banks, organizing bilateral working meetings, training events, and seminars in relevant areas, as well as facilitating the exchange of best practices and modern approaches.
