International Monetary Fund (IMF) Statistics Department technical assistance mission is being held at the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 6 to 10 July 2026.
During the mission, the current practices for compiling monetary and financial statistics, external sector statistics, and financial soundness indicators will be reviewed. The mission will also provide recommendations to support the development of the Central Bank’s medium-term strategy for advancing statistics in these areas.
The discussions will cover the processes for collecting, processing, and compiling statistical data, as well as the roles and coordination of the Central Bank’s structural units involved in these activities. In addition, the mission will consider ways to improve data exchange, processing, and dissemination practices, including the use of information technologies and artificial intelligence.
Within the scope of the mission meetings and discussions are being held with the participation of the relevant departments of the Central Bank and partner institutions.
