The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan will host the International Public Assets Management Forum (IPAM Forum 2026) in Tashkent on 18 September 2026. The event will bring together institutions responsible for managing public assets and international reserves, international financial institutions, and leading experts.
Amid volatility in global financial markets and geopolitical uncertainty, safeguarding national wealth and managing it effectively are particularly important for ensuring long-term economic stability. This calls for carefully considered investment decisions, thorough risk assessment, and strategies that respond to changing conditions. IPAM Forum 2026 will focus on sharing international experience and discussing practical approaches to addressing these challenges.
Representatives of central banks, sovereign investment institutions, major international asset management firms, and investment banks, as well as leading economists, are expected to attend the Forum. Institutions expected to be represented include the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Bank for International Settlements, alongside the Swiss, Singapore, Georgia and other central banks.
The Forum programme features keynote addresses, expert presentations, panel discussions, and a special roundtable. Discussions will cover trends in global financial markets and international reserve management, strategic asset allocation, investment portfolio diversification, and risk management.
Discussions will centre on building resilient, adaptable investment portfolios aligned with long-term objectives amid structural changes in the international monetary and financial system. Particular attention will also be paid to gold’s evolving role in international reserve management and its place in investment strategies.
IPAM Forum 2026 aims to strengthen Uzbekistan’s role as a regional platform for dialogue on public asset and international reserve management. The exchange of views and experience during the Forum is expected to support the development of long-term professional cooperation among relevant institutions.
