Main Tasks of the Department

To exercise supervision over payments, payment systems, and the payment services market.
To conduct supervision and oversight of the activities of payment system operators and payment organizations.

Main Functions of the Department

Based on the results of oversight and off-site analysis, and within the scope of the Department’s authority, to submit information and proposals to the Banking Supervision Committee regarding the outcomes of risk assessments and identified risks for the purpose of conducting on-site inspections of payment system entities.
To submit proposals to the Banking Supervision Committee on the application of appropriate supervisory measures and sanctions to payment system entities in cases of violations of the procedures governing the execution of payments and the operation of payment systems.
To organize the development of regulatory requirements and facilitate their implementation in practice with a view to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of payment systems and mitigating risks.
