Tasks and Functions

Department tasks:

Ensuring physical security, access control regime, and the uninterrupted operation of engineering and technical security systems at the Central Bank's facilities and in the buildings of its structural divisions.

Ensuring the information and cybersecurity of the Central Bank's information systems, information resources, and IT infrastructure, as well as managing cyber risks.

Controlling compliance with security requirements in the banking system, improving the regulatory and legal framework, and cooperating with banks and authorized bodies.

Department functions:

Organizing and controlling the access (entry-exit) regime at the Central Bank's facilities and maintaining the permit (access authorization) system.

Coordinating the implementation, operation, and monitoring of security, video surveillance, fire alarm, and other engineering and technical security systems.

Managing access in information systems and networks, protecting information assets, identifying vulnerabilities, and controlling compliance with information security requirements.

Monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating cyber incidents, developing SOC operations, and assessing and managing information security risks.

Controlling compliance with security requirements in the banking system, carrying out monitoring and analytical work, and providing methodological support.

Coordinating the process of issuing conclusions on the compliance of the facilities of banks and credit organizations, payment organizations, payment system operators, currency exchanges, and credit bureaus with the Central Bank's security requirements.

Developing and improving regulatory and legal documents in the field of ensuring security in the banking system, analyzing the state of security, and cooperating with authorized organizations.
