Pursuant to the regulation “On the Procedure for Determining Systemically Important Banks”, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan has identified the domestic systemically important banks (D-SIBs) for 2026.
Key criteria for identifying D-SIBs include:
- Size
- Interconnectedness
- Substitutability
- Complexity
Following the assessment, the Banking Supervision Committee has designated the following banks as D-SIBs for 2026:
1. JSC “NBU”
2. JSCB “Agrobank”
3. JSCB “Uzsanoatqurilishbank”
4. JSC “Xalq banki”
5. JSCMB “Ipoteka-bank”
6. JSCB “Kapitalbank”
7. JSC “Asakabank”
As of October 1, 2025, D-SIBs represented 64 percent of the total assets in Uzbekistan’s banking system.
