A roundtable discussion was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) with risk management specialists from commercial banks to examine systemic risks that could affect the stability of Uzbekistan’s financial system.
The meeting featured a presentation by the CBU on internal and external risks to financial stability. Participants from both the CBU and commercial banks exchanged views on key vulnerabilities, risks in the financial system, and recent macroprudential policy changes aimed at enhancing stability.
The discussion also covered the results of a CBU survey conducted among commercial banks to assess systemic risks. Additionally, bank representatives shared insights and experiences regarding their ongoing and planned efforts to identify and mitigate potential risks.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed to hold regular roundtable discussions and establish a framework for ongoing dialogue on macroprudential policy and risk management.
