A meeting was held at the Central Bank within the framework of the 2025 consultations between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with Article IV of the IMF Agreements.
During this meeting, discussions covered the macroeconomic conditions of 2024, recent changes in monetary and macroprudential policies, as well as forecasts for 2025 and planned measures to ensure monetary policy implementation and financial stability.
As part of this mission, IMF representatives will continue meetings with other ministries, government agencies, and commercial banks.
For reference: Meetings under Article IV of the IMF Agreements are conducted to analyze economic developments in IMF member countries, monitor the monetary policy of central banks, and assess banking system reforms by international experts.
