At the Central Bank, a meeting was held with the delegation of “Tencent Cloud International,” a part of China’s major technology company “Tencent Holdings Ltd.”
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the development of digital technologies and cloud infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, the parties considered the prospects of integrating the “WeChat Pay” digital payment system, which is part of “Tencent Holdings Ltd,” with local payment systems in Uzbekistan, enabling payments via QR codes, and expanding mutual cooperation in this area.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to support initiatives in the field of payment systems and to coordinate future joint activities.
