On July 14, 2025, a study tour of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on issues related to Islamic finance, regulation, and ecosystem development commenced in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The visit is organized with the support of the Asian Development Bank and in partnership with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).
The delegation includes representatives from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the State Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The program covers key aspects of the development of Islamic finance, including the legal and regulatory framework, Shariah governance, taxation, prudential supervision, accounting standards, and liquidity management instruments.
