On July 15, 2025, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the management of the Central Bank of Malaysia. During the meeting, the delegations discussed the experience of Bank Negara Malaysia in licensing, supervising, and regulating Islamic banks and financial institutions, ensuring compliance with Shariah requirements, and managing liquidity.
The parties also exchanged information on regulatory reforms being implemented, current internal legal and regulatory documents, and practical mechanisms applied in these areas.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to further enhance cooperation between the central banks of the two countries, particularly through collaboration in the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
