On July 16, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the leadership of the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB). During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of cooperation, future areas of collaboration, and the mechanisms of interaction between the organization and its member states.
The discussion also covered topics related to capacity building and professional training, as well as technical assistance in supporting reforms in the field of Islamic finance. Particular attention was paid to the importance of international standards developed by the Board and the possibilities of adapting them to national practices.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the IFSB leadership highly appreciated the ongoing reforms aimed at developing the Islamic financial ecosystem in Uzbekistan and expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support for these efforts. In particular, the parties reached an agreement to organize an official visit of IFSB representatives to Uzbekistan and to establish close cooperation in areas such as capacity building and the exchange of advanced international experience.
