Th Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted the presentation of the “Financial Services Strategy to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship,” with the participation of commercial banks and microfinance institutions.
The Strategy was developed by the Central Bank in close cooperation with commercial banks, in accordance with Presidential Decree PD-103 of March 17, 2025, “On measures to further improve the family and women’s support system”.
This Strategy is a logical continuation of reforms aimed at promoting inclusive economic growth, with a focus on institutionalizing gender policy in the banking and financial sector, enhancing women’s entrepreneurial capacity, and expanding their access to finance.
The event featured a presentation of the Strategy’s priority directions, practical implementation mechanisms, and a Roadmap designed to deliver tangible results
During the event, the tasks defined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the V open dialogue of the with entrepreneurs on August 20, 2025, were discussed together with the priority directions of the Strategy. In addition, the need to strengthen cooperation with international financial institutions and the mechanisms for the effective implementation of the Strategy were particularly emphasized.
