Tashkent hosted the opening of a regional meeting involving central bank representatives from Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.
The event focused on discussing key areas such as payment systems, digital financial infrastructure, cybersecurity, regulation of the fintech market, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
As part of the agenda, special attention was given to topics including special legal regimes in financial services, the experience of Tajikistan’s unified QR system, Kazakhstan’s digital infrastructure, new regulatory approaches to payment services in Azerbaijan, as well as SupTech and RegTech concepts, cashless payments, and the “regulatory sandbox” model.
This meeting aims to further strengthen cooperation between the central banks of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, promote the exchange of experience, and support the development of joint initiatives in the fields of payment systems and digital financial technologies.
