The Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting today, led by Deputy Chairman Nodirbek Ochilov with Mr. Andrin Fink Head of Cooperation, Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan, and Mr. Ronald Gindrat Project Manager, of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) to review the current status of cooperation and discuss priorities for the coming year. The sides noted the solid progress achieved under the Bilateral Assistance and Capacity Building Program (BCC), including expert missions, joint research activities, and ongoing work to strengthen the Bank’s analytical and institutional capacity.
The meeting covered collaboration in key areas such as monetary policy, macroeconomic statistics, consumer protection, payment systems oversight, and money market development. The CBU also highlighted ongoing and planned initiatives with international partners, including the The World Bank and OGResearch, particularly in FX policy development, liquidity forecasting, and improving the monetary policy transmission mechanism.
SECO representatives acknowledged the progress made and confirmed their readiness to continue supporting ongoing initiatives.
