The Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to discuss cooperation in advancing international financial standards and professional capacity building within the banking sector. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Mr. Sanjar Nosirov, and Public Affairs Lead for Eurasia at ACCA, Ms. Gaukhar Ashirbekova.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed ACCA’s activities in Uzbekistan, discussed support for the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in banks, and explored opportunities to enhance the qualifications of banking professionals through ACCA’s international certification programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare proposals outlining the next steps of cooperation.
