Within the framework of the 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Samarkand, representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of Zuercher Kantonalbank to discuss cooperation in international reserve management, money market and foreign exchange operations, gold trade, and professional training.
The parties exchanged views on current trends in reserve management, including cash flow management, investment in new financial instruments, and the growing role of fixed-income securities.
The parties reviewed the current state of cooperation between the Central Bank and Zuercher Kantonalbank, which began in June 2019 and has developed through regular institutional engagement and professional dialogue. Cooperation has covered several areas of financial market activity, including the money market, bullion market, and foreign exchange operations.
Representatives of Zuercher Kantonalbank noted the continued importance of the money market as one of the key areas of cooperation. The parties also discussed further interaction in gold trade, foreign exchange operations, and participation in Zuercher Kantonalbank training programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to continue professional dialogue and further develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
