During the video conference meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 24, 2025, dedicated to reviewing first-quarter results on ensuring economic growth in regions and sectors, as well as priority tasks through the end of the year, instructions were given to begin training district-level bankers in artificial intelligence in order to widely introduce digital technologies in the banking sector.
To ensure the implementation of this instruction, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, jointly with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, is organizing professional development courses on artificial intelligence for executive staff of the regional banking system.
On May 4–5 of the current year, specialists from the “Digital Education Development Center” under the Ministry organized two-day intensive professional development courses dedicated to artificial intelligence technologies for executive staff of bank branches in the Tashkent region.
At a time when digital transformation processes in the banking system are rapidly accelerating, the effective use of artificial intelligence technologies is becoming an important competency for executive staff. The courses were developed based on the capabilities of the most advanced information technologies, with particular attention given to the use of AI capabilities in bank management, risk assessment, process automation, and customer service.
During the training sessions, participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge in such modern areas as identifying opportunities for applying AI in banking processes, AI risks, compliance and governance, structuring processes for AI, complex AI processes, and working with AI agents.
Another important aspect of the courses was the creation of a platform for experience exchange. Representatives of various banks shared their experiences in implementing digital technologies within their institutions, the challenges they encounter, and practical results achieved.
These professional development courses are among the practical initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation in the banking sector and fostering a modern management culture.
Such professional development courses are being organized across all regions of the republic according to a mutually agreed schedule.
