The centre of the coin features the building of the Centre of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. This architectural image reflects Uzbekistan's contribution to the development of world science, spirituality and Islamic civilization.

The centre of the coin features the numeral "35", marking the 35th anniversary of independence, as the principal compositional element. The design incorporates doppi (national skullcap) patterns that reflect the country's national identity.

Reverse of the set: The centre of the coin features the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the date of its adoption — "18 NOVEMBER 1991".

The centre of the coin features the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the date of its adoption — "2 JULY 1992".

The centre of the coin features a line from the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan — "OLAMNI MAHLIYO AYLAGAN DIYOR!" — together with the date of the Anthem's adoption — "10 DECEMBER 1992".

The commemorative coins are minted from 999.9 fine gold (Au) and silver (Ag). Each coin weighs 31.1 grams and has a face value of 100,000 soums.
