During the meetings (7 in total) held by the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank in June 2026, 34 issues were reviewed and relevant decisions were adopted on them.
A total of 22 issues were reviewed in the area of registration and licensing. In particular, matters were discussed regarding the registration of amendments made to the charters of credit institutions (6), the issuance of auditor qualification certificates granting the right to conduct audits in banks (3), the registration of microfinance organizations and the issuance of a licence to a payment organization (4), the granting of permission to hold a share in the charter fund of credit institutions (5), as well as the review of candidates for members of the supervisory board and management of commercial banks and personnel of significant importance (4).
In addition, 12 issues related to the financial condition of credit and payment organizations were reviewed. In particular, compliance with the instructions of the Central Bank and the requirements of prudential norms, the results of inspection audits conducted in banking and non-banking credit institutions, and the distribution of retained earnings were discussed.
For failure to comply with prudential regulatory requirements, as well as for not aligning their activities with the requirements of legislative acts in the established manner, 23 banks were warned about the application of measures and sanctions.
For carrying out activities not in compliance with legal requirements, as well as for deficiencies identified during inspection audits and reviews, penalty sanctions were applied to 21 banks, 1 microfinance organization, and 1 payment organization.
