In the framework of the International Public Asset Management (IPAM) Forum, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held meetings with representatives of PIMCO.
The discussions focused on potential cooperation in international reserve management and the Central Bank’s efforts to gradually broaden its investment approach by drawing on the experience of leading global asset managers.
During the meetings, the parties discussed strategic asset allocation, approaches to external asset management, the development of fixed-income portfolios, as well as capacity building and knowledge exchange for reserve management specialists.
PIMCO representatives shared their experience in active fixed-income management and cooperation with central banks, including approaches to building strategic partnerships that combine asset management with capacity building.
The participants also exchanged views on developments in the global financial environment and their implications for investment strategies, highlighting the growing importance of diversification and the need to adapt portfolio approaches to evolving market conditions.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue on practical opportunities for cooperation in international reserve management and the development of investment capabilities.
