As part of the Silk Road Finance and Technology Forum, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Bank of Cambodia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to exchange experience and further cooperation across a number of priority areas of central banking, including financial inclusion and financial literacy, payment system development, financial technologies, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
The parties also exchanged views on the development of modern payment infrastructure, expanding access to digital financial services, advancing QR code-based payments, and strengthening interoperability between payment systems.
Particular attention was also given to strengthening the institutional and research capacity of the central banks, promoting innovative solutions in the financial sector, and studying international best practices.
The parties expressed their interest in sharing knowledge and practical experience in relevant areas and further expanding cooperation between the two central banks.
