As part of the Silk Road Finance and Technology Forum, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Kyrgyz delegation.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz delegation highly commended the scale and level of organization of the Forum, noting that it serves as an important platform for exchanging experience and new approaches in the field of financial technology.
The parties exchanged views on the development of digital financial services, payment systems, cybersecurity, and cash circulation. They also discussed opportunities to develop regulatory sandbox mechanisms that enable innovative financial products and services to be tested in a secure environment, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation in this area.
Particular attention was paid to SupTech solutions and the effective use of data in supervisory processes. The Kyrgyz side provided information on ongoing work in this area with international partners.
The parties also considered opportunities to exchange experience in cybersecurity and fraud prevention. Discussions covered the introduction of modern anti-fraud systems in banks, the prompt detection of suspicious transactions, restricting bank card transactions where necessary, and establishing clear and effective mechanisms for customers affected by fraud to seek assistance.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue exchanging experience and pursuing practical cooperation in financial technology, SupTech, cybersecurity, and the development of cash circulation.
